Doing Business North America

Launching Fall 2019

Launched in 2019, the first edition of the Doing Business North America project provided objective measures of business regulations and their enforcement across 115 cities in 92 states, provinces, and federal districts which comprise the sub-national units of Canada, Mexico and the United States.

Modeled upon the methodology of the World Bank’s "Doing Business" report, the Center’s Doing Business North America report measures the regulations which apply to domestic small and medium-size companies throughout their life cycle.

Every fall, a new edition of the DBNA report is released with updated data and new cities and variables.
