The Technical Committee for System Identification and Adaptive Control (TCSIAC) is responsible for promoting, coordinating and organizing activities sponsored by the IEEE Control Systems Society in the areas of system identification and adaptive control. The system identification scope includes all aspects of dynamical system modeling based on data, ranging from theoretical and methodological developments to practical applications. This scope includes model structure selection, parameter estimation, tracking and adaptation, model validation, fault detection, and experiment design. The adaptive control scope encompasses continuous and discontinuous adaptation and learning rules for prediction, control, and optimization. Topics include model-based and data-based adaptive control together with adaptation schemes for prediction, filtering and decision making.
